Staff Photographer, Idaho Statesman, July 2006 April 2009
As a photographer at the Idaho Statesman I produced multimedia pieces on a weekly basis. I pushed for the paper to start a photo column, which improved my writing. I also had several stories published.
Staff Photographer, The Advocate, July 2002- July 2006
I started as an intern at this 130.000 circulation paper in Baton Rouge, La., The editors created a staff position for me when my internship ended.

Responsible for feature hunting, daily spot news, general assignments and photo essays.
Photo Intern, Peoria Journal Star, Dec 2000-Aug 2001
During first internship, I fell in love with daily journalism and working on deadline. I won my first NPPA national clip for a photograph from a fire.
Photo Editor/ Photographer, Daily Egyptian, Fall 1999-Aug 2001
I learned how to work with editors and reporters on deadline and developed several long-term projects while attending school full time.
